![]() Player imbalance? Maybe, make a goddamn tutorial. Simple fix, doesn't require scrapping RTS. Simple solution: change spotting mechanics. People say that spotting is OP, and they are right. I firmly believe CVs can be balanced without removing the RTS format. This CV rework is completely unnecessary. ![]() Good CV drivers know who to punish and who to avoid, they know which ships have no fly zones, they even have time to check a players stats to see if they are probably AA spec'd.ĭriving a CV well is the only challenging aspect of this game, its all very easy.so easy my 8 year old grandson plays on occasion. Once a T8 CV's planes get to within 3km of a T9 US cruiser those planes melt away like butter on a hot grill. Making a blanket statement that CV's can one shot anything on the map is a drastic overstatement and makes you sound like you dont spend a lot of time actually driving a CV. You must adapt just like you have to drastically alter playing style when playing ocean in a US light cruiser. The most important thing to realize is that YOU, THE PLAYER need to adapt to the presence of a CV. So spotter planes from a cruiser only spot (for targeting) ships/torps for the player who owns the spotter plane. Everything has been discussed to death, including spotting capabilities, which is actually VERY easy to deal with.Planes spot for the OWNING ship ONLY, objects spotted only show up on the mini map so they cannot be targeted. There have been 100's if not 1000's of threads discussing possible fixes for all things CV related. How would you fix carriers so they can't do that and that other players don't actively avoid playing against them? So how would you fix CVs so they no longer have the spotting potential of 5 DDs all at the same time? How would you fix CVs so they can't one shot everything on the map while simultaneously spotting the opposite flank ?ĬVs can be everywhere at once and affect literally the whole enemy team at the same time. More than likely there will be a high spike of interest and sales then taper off gradually depending on issues not seen yet. As for the tutorials - WG will have them but they will not be as indepth as player submitted ones as has always been the case. This is phase II to increase the player population and interest. WG cratered with the present CV game play as players acquisition for CV was not happening. WG is catering to the "Average" player as thats is the segment which has the highest potential for revenue income. (Tips on load in screens arent enough, lets be honest. Those tutorials should have been in game and done by WGing from the start. A player shouldnt be forced to go look up players like Farra to find tutorials on how to play CV. It also stops the CV running with higher tier AA boat issue.ĬV is only too difficult to the average player because WGing failed to actively train the player base on how to use them then they ruined the learning tiers when they took away manual strafes/strikes while forcing them to play t6 CVs who can still manual strafe/strike. a solo CV who doesnt have the AA power on the team. This stops the CV running with two monster AA ships v. ![]() Put yourself in their shoes.Įdit: Take out the ability for CVs to run in divisions also. Dont forget that they enjoyed the game for the RTS style of play and they are the ones who are being kicked to the curb. It is really crappy move from WGing if you ask me. Dont forget about all the CV players who love the RTS and will just stop playing the game. Instead, WGing "fixes" it with a sledgehammer and will likely break 5 other game mechanics in doing so. All they had to do was buff DD AA to keep CVs from perma spotting, increase the AA effectiveness after the mercy is active (the time it takes for even ships with very very poor AA to actively start shooting down planes because they have been in the AA bubble for far too long), nerf the alpha strike so CVs have to focus more on DoTs and remove manual strafes/strikes.
